When Threads first launched last year, I was one of the early adopters. In the first few months it was great because there were real people saying real things and holding conversations with each other. In under a year, the place is teeming with lonely, thirsty souls screaming lists of keywords in the hope of grabbing just one more empty follower. All of social media is like that now. It's a ghost town haunted by ghosts who don't know they're dead. If we're not a ghost yet, we're slowly wasting away from lack of intellectual and emotional connection. I hate disintegration. Give me life. Give me pain. Give me anything but this emptiness.
